Sample Special // Testritest #1

(Scroll down for the post in English)

Paar asja mida silmas pidada testerite puhul.

Lavera Repair Care Shampoo, Odylique Repair Lotion, Dr Hauschka Acute Care Potentilla, Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler CC Cream, Erbaviva Hand Cream, Inlight Superfood Mask

[In English]

I will start with my sample series right away because I have sooo many samples, and it will be good to keep track of what I have liked and why/why not. And maybe others will also find it helpful.

A few things to keep in mind in case of testers. Generally they can be divided into two types – sachet-type, which contains 1-3 uses of a product, and the delux size, which depending on the size an last for a long time. Trying out sachet-type testers is pointless in the way that you probably will not be able to say after just one use whether that serum or face cream is a match for you. I use sachet testers to figure out whether the product causes me irritation, whether it smells pleasantly, whether it has nice texture. So when I write that I did not like that cream, it means I didn’t like the first impression of it, and it does not mean I discourage others to not try it.

* Lavera Repair Care Shampoo – there was enough product in the sachet for one use (shoulder length hair). My impression was meh. The scent was okay, it foamed normally. Did not leave hair particularly light nor heavy.
Would I buy? No.

* Odylique Repair Lotion – I used it on one specific irritated spot for about 6-7 times. Unfortunately, I did not notice any particular effect (people write online that it worked on them with only one use – definitely not the case with me). I am really sad because I like Odylique as a brand, I like its background (family company, the products are hand made in a farm), I really like their ingredients. Still, I would recommend people who have eczema to give this a go because many people praise this product.
Would I buy? At this moment, rather no.

* Dr. Hauschka Acute Care Potentilla – the Med-line seems to be quite new in Hauschka’s offering of products. I bought a small tester (3 ml) out of curiousity and tried it on a finger that I had been having an irritation for longer time already. It seems to have helped because irritation disappeared almost completely.
Would I buy? Yes, if I was suffering from skin problems.

* Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler CC Cream (shade Hell/Light) – this tester came with a magazine and I tried it out of interest, although Eucerin is neigher cruelty-free, nor a green brand. The coverage was okay for a CC Cream, but it has this awful synthetic scent (I am not used to these anymore) and the ingredient list gave me a headache.
Would I buy? Hell no.

* Erbaviva Hand Cream – very nice hand cream that smells of a sweetish orange, and moisturized my hands well. However, I would not rush to order because it is an US company and I can buy other good hand creams for lower price (this one is $17 on Erbaviva web site).
Would I buy? No.

* Inlight  SuperFood Mask – a well-received expensive face mask that contains some interesting ingredients like spirulina, rose seed oil and carrot root extract. The appearance of the mask is green, grainy (so it also has exfoliating qualities) and smells of nature. It rather aggravated than soothed my skin and I am kind of happy, because I really don’t need another €50+ face mask in my wishlist (this costs £45 in Naturisimo) :p
Would I buy? No.
