Dr Hauschka // vahtrakuma lumm, ehk Balancing Teint Powder & Lipstick Novum 08 Maple Glow

Mulle ei meeldi suvi. Mulle ei meeldi liiga soojad ilmad, liiga palju päikest, liiga vähe riideid. Mulle ei meeldi need värvid, mis tavaliselt klassifitseeruvad "suvevärvideks". 

Sellepärast vist polegi imestada, et kui nägin kohalikus netipoes soodushinnaga Dr Hauschka Novum 08 huulepulka toonis "maple glow", siis see ostetud sai. Koos teise limited edition tootega, mil nimeks Balancing Teint Powder.

Dr Hauschka on (vähemalt Euroopas) kindlasti household name, aga selle firma kosmeetikast pole ma enne midagi proovinud. Olen proovinud mõnda näo- ja kehahooldustoodet, mis on jätnud hea mulje, kuid ei midagi sellist, mida kiirelt uuesti ostma tõttaks. 

Üks põhjus, miks rahakotirauad kinni jäävad, on kindlasti võrdlemisi kõrge hind, ja teiseks, mind häirib see, et paljud Hauschka tooted sisaldavad aineosa "parfum". Firma kodulehel on küll kirjas, et nende "parfum" koosneb vaid looduslikest komponentidest ja ei sisalda midagi sünteetilist, aga arvestades, kui halb maine on kogu sellel parfum-teemal, ma parema meelega hoiaks eemale kõigist toodetest, kus seda sees. Aga hea hinnaga - siis proovida ju võib, seda enam, et huulepulgatoon "vahtrakuma" (äkktõlge - aga kõlab hästi) näis olevat just selline loomulik tumeroosa, mida ma olen jahtinud nüüd juba ... mitu aastat. 

Ja ongi! "Vahtrakuma" huulepulk on väga meeldiv üllatus. Konsistentsilt väga kreemine ja pehme, värvilt kombineerub hästi mu enda loomuliku huuletooniga, ja püsivus on väga korralik, vähemalt loodusliku toote kohta - peale mitmetunnist kandmist, kuhu sisse mahtus ka üks Granny Smith õun, ei olnud huulevärv veel kuhugi põgenenud. Negatiivne - huulepulk sisaldab karmiini, seega veganitele ei sobi. (Ise katsun ka üldiselt karmiini vältida.)

Välimuselt on nii puuder kui huulepulk sellised, mida ei pelga raamatupoes kotist välja võtta, et puudritopsi küljes olevasse peeglisse pilku heita. Musta-kuldse segu on nii lollikindel ja ajatu disainivõte, et sellega on raske eksida.

Balancing Teint Powder on, nagu pildilt näha, kolmest värvitoonist kombineeritav kivipuuder (on see nüüd õige sõna või?) Olen pikalt kasutanud nüüd tolmpuudrit, sellepärast tundsin, et oleks hea ka üks pressitud puuder kollektsiooni lisada, sest tolmpuuder on kodustes oludes küll suurepärane, aga pole just kõige mugavam kaasavõtmiseks. Toon on kena ja mitte väga silmatorkav, nii et kasutan hea meelega, kui selline situatsioon tekib.

I don’t like summer. I don’t like too warm weathers, too much sun, too few clothes. I do not like the colours that are classified as “summer colours”.

Therefore, it is no wonder that when I saw Dr Hauschka’s Novum 08 lipstick named “maple glow” in a local web shop for a great discount price, I bought it. With another limited edition product, Balancing Teint Powder.

At least in Europe, Dr Hauschka is definitely a house hold name, but I have not tried their make-up until now. I have tried a few skin- and bodycare products, which have been … nice, but nothing earth shattering.

One reason why the credit card stays in the wallet is definitely a rather high price, but I am also disturbed by many Hauschka products containing “parfum”. It is said on the company’s web site that their “parfum” contains only natural components and nothing synthetic, but considering the bad reputation of this whole parfum-situation, I would rather avoid all products that contain it. And this is probably one reason why I will never become a dedicated Hauschka-fan.

However, I do not mind trying out new things, especially with such good prices – and even more, the lipstick shade “maple glow” seemed exactly the sort of dark natural pink that I have been hunting for … a few years now.

And it is! The “maple glow” lipstick is a very pleasant surprise. The texture is very creamy and soft, and it goes 

well with my own natural lip colour, the lasting power seems very decent, at least for a natural product – after I had been wearing it for several hours, in which time period I also consumed a Granny Smith apple, the lipstick was still pretty much intact. The con about this lipstick, though – it contains carmine, so it is not suitable for vegans. (I generally try to avoid carmine as well.)

The design of both the lipstick and the powder is acceptable in the way that you won’t be embarrassed to pull either out of your bag in the bookstore to take a little looksie into the mirror that is attached to the powder case. The combination of black and golden is such foolproof and timeless design take.

The Balancing Teint Powder is a pressed powder made of three different shades. I have been using loose powders for a long time now, so I felt like it would be a good idea to add a pressed version to my collection. Loose powder is awesome in home environment, but let’s face it, not the most practical piece of make-up to take with you.
